Continual Engine exhibited at the VHEAP UnConference held on May 29–30, 2025 - a forum where higher education professionals came together to co-create, collaborate, and drive innovation in accessibility. At the event, we showcased PREP, our AI-powered PDF and document remediation platform, built to help higher education institutions streamline, scale, and simplify their document accessibility workflows.
Continual Engine was selected to present its solutions at Colorado’s OIT Virtual Vendor Day on February 20, 2025. This allowed us to address the critical problems surrounding municipal document accessibility. During the event, we presented our solution PREP to demonstrate how to tackle complex accessibility issues that municipalities face in making digital documents more user-friendly and compliant with modern standards.
Continual Engine had the opportunity to participate in the 3rd National Conclave on Assistive Technology – 2025, held in Bangalore on March 5, 2025. Our advisors, Dr. B.S.M. Kumar and Dr. Sriram, brought their insights to the forefront during impactful panel discussions.
Continual Engine presented at the CSUN 2025 Conference on March 13, 2025, with a session titled “Transforming Document Remediation: Expert-Led and AI-Driven.” The presentation explored Document Remediation 3.0, highlighting how AI, automation, and subject matter expert validation come together to streamline accessibility at scale. The session was led by Vijayshree (VJ) Vethantham, SVP of Growth & Strategy, and Kristin Yokota, AVP of Sales at Continual Engine US LLC. Continual Engine Presented and Exhibited at the 27th Annual Accessing Higher Ground Conference in Denver, Colorado on November 14, 2024. The topic of the session was ‘Learn How PREP Brings 95% AI-Led Automation for PDF Accessibility with Higher Accuracy’. Our SVP of Growth & Strategy and AVP of Sales were present at the event.
PREP API was introduced, which is a significant part of PREP. It can be seamlessly integrated into any existing software or current workflow, to detect and correct accessibility issues in documents.
On February 2, 2023, Continual Engine co-presented and exhibited at the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) 2023 Conference alongside Virginia Tech. The session was led by Vijayshree (VJ) Vethantham, who co-presented with Mark Nichols, Senior Director of Universal Design and Accessible Technologies at Virginia Tech, sharing insights on enhancing accessibility through technology.
Continual Engine participated in the Awareness Conclave on Assistive Technology for People with Disabilities, held on February 23, 2023, at the Chancery Pavilion, Bangalore. The event was organized by Samarthanam Trust in collaboration with DXC Technology, IIIT Bangalore, and the Government of Karnataka. Representing Continual Engine were Rajat Prakash and Pavan Deepak (Product Owners), along with Dr. K. Sriram (Advisor), who engaged in discussions on advancing assistive technologies in India.
Continual Engine participated in the 46th Annual AHEAD Conference on Equity & Excellence: Access in Higher Education, held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland from July 17–21, 2023. The conference brought together accessibility professionals and higher education leaders, offering a platform for Continual Engine to engage in meaningful dialogue around inclusive learning environments.
Continual Engine exhibited its flagship product, PREP, at the ATIA 2022 Conference on January 28, 2022, in Orlando, Florida. The session was presented by Rajiv Narayana and Vijayshree Vethantham and focused on the theme: "Learn about the Impact of Community in AI Technology for STEM Accessibility." The event brought together leaders in assistive technology and accessibility innovation.
From March 14–18, 2022, Continual Engine participated in the 37th Annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference in Anaheim, California. Rajiv Narayana and Vijayshree Vethantham co-presented with Korey Singleton, ATI Manager at George Mason University. The session, titled "The Role of Champions in Accessibility Technology Innovation," spotlighted the role of advocates in advancing assistive technologies. PREP was also featured during the event.
On May 18, 2022, Continual Engine took part in the 2022 Round Table Conference hosted by the Australia and New Zealand Accessible Graphics Group (ANZAGG). Representing the company were Rajat Prakash and Dr. K. Sriram, who participated in discussions surrounding accessible graphics and inclusion.
Continual Engine was featured at the 45th Annual AHEAD Conference on Equity & Excellence: Access in Higher Education, held at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 20, 2022. Vijayshree Vethantham led the presentation, engaging higher education professionals in dialogue around digital accessibility solutions.
At the 13th Annual Island Conference, held on September 17, 2022, both virtually and in person at Princeton University, Continual Engine presented on the topic: "Using AI to Instantly Make STEM Images and Documents Accessible." Presenters included Vijayshree Vethantham (VP, Growth & Strategy) and Rajat Prakash (Product Owner), who shared AI-driven solutions for STEM content accessibility.
On October 12, 2022, Continual Engine hosted a webinar focused on STEM accessibility, featuring Rachel Comerford, Senior Director of Accessibility Outreach and Communication at Macmillan Learning. The session was moderated by Vijayshree Vethantham and offered valuable insights into inclusive content design and implementation strategies.

The Future of Document Accessibility: Best Practices & Key Insights for 2024
On February 16, 2023, Continual Engine hosted an informative webinar titled “All About WCAG Accessibility And What’s Next.” The session was led by IAAP-certified Web Accessibility Specialist Sarah Stricker from ansrsource. The event offered a deep dive into evolving WCAG standards and practical strategies for implementation. An accessible version of the presentation was made available post-event.
Continual Engine conducted a focused webinar titled “Prepping PDFs for Accessibility” on June 15, 2023. The session was presented by Sarah Stricker, IAAP Certified Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) and Instructional Technologist at ansrsource.
